Positive: The house is full of character and the grounds are beautiful, the lounge area with the logburner was nice. Lovely hosts

Negative: It wasn't really clear from the listing information whether this is a B&B, a homestay or you get the whole place to yourself. It is probably closer to a B&B however you are using the same kitchen as the owners. The listing states 'superb breakfast served daily, continental style etc..'. In reality it is a help yourself breakfast, there was sliced bread in the fridge, butter, jams and cheap fruit yoghurts, eggs and milk. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but it just wasn't what we were expecting for the price and from the listing info. In terms of location, you cannot really go for a walk from the house, you have to get in your car everytime as it's right on the main road. Overall we were just a bit surprised at the set up, and we think it might be a bit overpriced, probably due to the lack of accommodation in the area.
